Shields🛡️Up Security Clearances: Trusted Access
At the heart of any cybersecurity agency, especially one that collaborates closely with government entities and manages sensitive data, trust is paramount. Our Board Qualified | Chief Information Security Officers (BQ-CISO™ | CISOs) possess a range of security clearances to ensure they are vetted and trusted to handle sensitive information.

Obtaining Top Secret Clearance:
The route to top secret clearance is intensive. It encompasses a thorough background vetting, diving deep into criminal records, credit reports, citizenship verification, education, employment, military service, and more. A candidate is also personally interviewed and their associates may be interviewed as well.
Roles Necessitating Security Clearances:
While any Shields🛡️Up role engaging with national security data necessitates a clearance, the specifics range across job types and responsibilities. Our CISOs, regardless of their roles, maintain clearances aligning with the sensitivity of the data they handle.
Engagements Beyond Federal:
Security clearances aren’t exclusive to government roles. Our CISOs, even when collaborating with private entities or NGOs with federal contracts, are mandated to undergo clearance checks.
Duration & Re-evaluation:
Clearance duration aligns with roles, but there are set benchmarks. Top Secret clearance calls for reviews every 5 years, Secret after 10 years, and Confidential after 15 years. Periodic or surprise checks can also occur to ensure continuous compliance.
